ORAL HEALTH THERAPIST

Chelsea holds a Bachelor of Oral Health and a Master of Oral Health from the University of Otago, New Zealand, and is a qualified Oral Health Therapist with more than 10 years of clinical experience across general and specialist dental practice.

Her professional interests focus on dental implant maintenance, peri-implant disease prevention, and supporting long-term implant health through evidence-based care.

In July 2026, Chelsea presented her research on professional maintenance of dental implants at the International Dental Hygiene Symposium in Milan, Italy, sharing her findings with an international audience of dental and oral health professionals.

Chelsea is passionate about translating research into practical clinical care and sharing knowledge to support the ongoing development of the oral health profession.

Chelsea’s presentation will focus on the oral health therapist and dental hygienist role of dental implant maintenance for patients with full arch implants.
